Energy and related Technologie

 

The Energy and Energy-Related Technologies Service Platform is designed to facilitate the production, storage and effective utilization of traditional fossil fuels, renewable energies such as solar energy, wind power, geothermal power, tidal power, as well as new energies such as geothermal energy and biofuels. To help solve the increasingly prominent energy crisis, this platform is to provide omnibearing computing support for the R&D of new materials, equipment, and manufacturing technologies, as well as for safety assessment, etc. Currently, a number of open source software such as OpenFOAM, FDS, Code-Aster have been deployed on this platform, commercial software such as Ansys-Fluent and Matlab, which are within our procurement plan, have also been adapted to the system. Active users of this platform covers a wild filed of both traditional petrochemical engineering and new energy development, which have greatly bolstered a number of application projects of elaborate simulation of fossil energy technology and asset management of new energy,etc.

Technical Features

Platform users could use quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics simulation software to develop energy-related materials on the microscopic scale, such as hydrogen storage materials design; on mesoscopic scale, Lattice Boltzmann Simulation (LBM), Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) and Particle in Cell (PIC) algorithm could be used to conduct elaborate analysis of transfer processes, such as analyzing the subtle energy utilization in the cooling process of electronic components; on macro continuum scale, referring to finite element or finite volume methods in Computational Fluid Dynamics and other methods in Reaction Kinetics and Structural Mechanics, manufacturing applications such as energy-related mechanical design and the optimization of the distribution of power stations can be implemented. Based on Large scale algorithms such as synoptic model and Ocean Model, predictions and assessment of the regional, even global, wind power, ocean power and solar power resources can be carried out. Integrating the cloud platform and the big data system of NSCC-GZ with technical process analysis software and asset management software, investment risk assessment and asset management of comprehensive energy projects can be carried out on this platform.
